Well, also apparently Captain Marvel 2 is all but confirmed, and the plan would be to set that one too in the past. So they can retcon her into the main story even further.
Personally, I still just want them to not fuck up Avengers4. So even if they mess up after that, as it's sadly likely to happen, we have at least one huge storyarc completed.

I imagine that movie will explain/show what Carol did between her movie and Avengers end game, it will probably also explain why there are peace between the Kree and Xandar.

Yeah, she's probably gonna be the real reason the Kree Empire agreed on a cease fire with Xandar. And Lord knows of how many other things.
This whole situation is like if Rey was shoehorned into SW Return of the Jedi in the last act, and then the prequel trilogy was the story of how she was always the most important and powerful character of the saga, and the true main character all along.
Which was pretty much exactly my fear ever since the marketing for the movie started.

Namor? WTF. Does MCU really go there? Seriously.
Anyway, while this is exciting news, personally I think this was utterly horrible marketing. Because now we know for sure that snap victims are coming back, Black Widow will survive and that MCU will continue. This really takes lots of stakes away from Infinity War and incoming Endgame.
Now, if I would've been responsible for marketing here, I would've given nothing away from the phase 4. Basically, no news at all of the future. So, no Spider-Man homecoming trailers or news shootings as those should've been done in secret and then the movie should've been released on autumn.
Anyway, can you believe how worried would've been with this. As no one would've known, if people are coming back or if Endgame was to be the end of it? And then, maybe two weeks after the release of Endgame, Feige and Marvel would've given this news of the future and there would be another movie coming quite soon actually. Can you believe, how excited the people would've been? First literal news about the MCU future in about a year? People would be glamouring for every detail in literal excitement.
But now.... it's not really that exciting as we knew MCU would continue after Infinity War and Endgame. Now we know that there is no stakes left in this department. The only reason to really care about Endgame and its results is to see the fate of original Avengers + two (Rocket, Nebula). But even then, we know they will beat Thanos and basically rewrite the reality somehow.
Look, I'm not saying this can't be exciting and that I won't greatly anticipate Endgame and the future of MCU after this. It's just bummer that all this marketing has now told me that some of the stakes from Infinity War and Endgame are taken away. Maybe this is the true case of "ignorance being a bliss" as if I wouldn't follow these news, it would become as a surprise to me.

Eh atlantis was teased as far back as Iron man 2 as an easter egg, they just didn't have the rights for him back then, I think they only got them back recently.
Marvel don't have control on the marketing for Spider-man or when the next movie gets released Sony does (especially since they contract has to be renegotiated or getting renegotiated right now.)

It was? Can't honestly remember as it must be at least six to seven years since I last watched Iron Man 2. Anyway, my disbelief over this is more of the character itself. I have never been able to take Namor seriously as I see it total knockout of Aquaman. Yes, I know DC and Marvel had similar characters and I don't even know if Namor was actually the original one. It doesn't chance the fact that Namor just feels like a frigging copy and a really bad one at that.
Hmm, so it's again Sony fault? Go figure. Alas, this whole incoming GotG vol 3 news (before James Gunn fired-re-hired mess) was totally on MCU. As for renegotiating deal between Marvel and Sony, I don't think there will be new deal or extend for that deal. After Venom total surprise box office success, Sony will be way too full of themselves, so they will want their flagship character back too.

Yeah it was on the map at the end with Fury and Stark, Wakanda was also on it.
Namor is very different character then Aquaman though, he is alot more stoic, has a bad temper, a lot less friendly and is arrogant.
pretty much, Sony would be very dumb (which they are.) if they didn't keep the deal, one liveaction superhero movie that did well doesn't give success for future ones.

Disney’s acquisition of Fox is now officially complete
[[ "More than a year after the deal first started coming together, Twenty-First Century Fox has announced that The Walt Disney Company’s acquisition of its film and TV assets is now complete and will become effective as of 12:02 AM, Wednesday, March 20th. Disney originally reached an agreement to purchase Fox back in December 2017 for $52.4 billion, only for Comcast to enter the race, pushing the purchase price up to $71.3 billion. The massive deal includes 20th Century Fox’s various film and TV studios, Star India, and Fox’s stakes in Hulu, Endemol, National Geographic and Tata Sky.
Some of the many properties which will now fall under the control of Disney include the X-Men and Fantastic Four rights and distribution rights to the original Star Wars, as well as Avatar, Alien, Predator, Planet of the Apes, Die Hard, Ice Age, The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad!, Bob’s Burgers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, American Horror Story, Modern Family and The X-Files." ]]

Deadwood is one of those shows I wanted to watch, but never go around to. I should rectify that.
