For all people like to claim that Dark Souls and Bloodborne are like that, they aren't. You just have to understand how to play them.

I like the Souls games. I like Bloodborne. I do not like Sekiro.

Yeesh, I'm fixing to drop nearly $3000 in repairs on a 34 year old truck because I really like the style. My old truck was totaled in a wreck about 6 months okay so I made the decision to rehabilitate a truck I drove as a teenager that's just been sitting around at my dad's house instead of buying one.

The engine, frame, body, and transmission are in good shape but a lot of the other components need to be replaced just from having existed for 34 years. I took it to some guy who specializes in vintage cars and according to him at least, it's in the best shape of any truck of this style he's seen in a long time. These are also apparently desirable among truck fetishists generally and you can sell even an old, mostly junked one for about the price of repairs I've put into it so far. If nothing else I can probably make my money back off it.

I can't help but feel conflicted about it though even though I love the truck because it's so old and more of a commitment than just buying a decent used, more modern truck. Up til now I've never really driven anything I cared about that much so having it smashed on the freeway was just a horrible inconvenience but not really a loss in an emotional sense. Now, I'll be paranoid about it all the time.

Yep. Im done with Sekiro.

Fuck this game. I can get through Dark Soils 1, 2, and 3 with relative ease. I can destroy Bloodborne. I cant fucking play another minute of this Stealth game except not a stealth game garbage.

So personal tastes on gameplay aside, does it run well? Does it have multiplayer/invasions? I try to limit how much I know about games I want to get.

It doesn't run particularly well on the base PS4, and I hear that console versions in general are not running great.
It has no multiplayer what so ever.

They're great 3d animators. If they had some work on storycraft and got actual gameplay involved they could rival a game company with their skills.

Business wise yeah, but thats not what they wanna do they wanna change up the hentai game genre with this game. This game is gonna have gameplay as well as a story plus da pornz.

I'm really not a fan of that attitude. Just because it's porn it doesn't mean you should half-ass it. Sure, it's never gonna be high art, but people tend to notice and be more supportive if go the extra mile and put some extra effort in your work, even if you're making hentai.

No, you misunderstand me.
I mean it's a shame they have to go around with the pretense of making a game to make their porn.
The only reason they're doing this is because all the usual platforms are not allowing them to host there money gathering for their 3D porn. Or that was the rumour anyway.
I'd much rather they do one or the other.

The game will get in the way of the porn or the porn will get in the way of the game.
even if the balance is perfect they're still mixing two projects they could be perfect in.

That makes more sense, yes.

Still... I don't mind giving the project a chance. There's plenty of good games with basic gameplay but fun stories and characters I was still very entertained by. Including one or two I've funded on Kickstarted, like Banner Saga.

Still... I don't mind giving the project a chance. There's plenty of good games with basic gameplay but fun stories and characters I was still very entertained by. Including one or two I've funded on Kickstarted, like Banner Saga.

Also dont see how the gameplay will get in the way of porn, considering they are going for a mass effectish and other space influenced movies. It should all mesh together quite well.

Maybe if they do the bare minimum in terms of gameplay, and getting through the game part feels more like a chore than added value. But by the looks of it, doesn't seem to be the case.

Still, they never had to sell themselves as, say, an e-book or something in order to get made, they were always a game.

When Persona 5 wasn't doing it for me, I gave it a few days, tried it again, ended up loving it.

When Nier: Automata wasn't doing it for me, I gave it a couple days, ended up loving it.

Sekiro:Shadows Die Twice wasn't doing it for me. I gave it a couple days...

It's still fucking DOGSHIT and anyone who likes it is objectively wrong. They see the name "From Software" and have convinced themselves the game is good.
