Anyone else get Pokemon, or am I alone in this journey?
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
My trainer licence was revoked for unlawful breeding practices.
I was going to have perfect IVs, I swear.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
I was going to get it but now it seems rather lacking from what I have heard so far.
If it gets better I might buy a switch and get it but it'd have to be a damn good game for me to do so.

It is 'Lacking" as much as any pokemon game is.
The people complaining have obviously not been playing Pokemon long. Game Freak sucks. They have always sucked.

"Yeah. For really reals.
In the deepest dungeons of the Warhammer Studio, the counsel of the wise have convened, ancient forges have been re-lit and work has already begun. So far… we’ve made the logo. Next up, everything else.
You get the idea – this is a long way off. Years. More than two. Like three or more. Definitely not soon. Obviously, this is really exciting news for all of us, and just like with Sisters of Battle, we’ll keep you updated with more news as the project unfolds.
For those of you who don’t know, in 2015, Warhammer: The Game of Fantasy Battles changed forever, in so far as Archaon destroyed the world. Classic Archaon. Everything we knew of the Old World collapsed into a void of Chaos and infinite possibility. From that tumultuous storm came the Mortal Realms, heralding a new dawn of unending war in the Age of Sigmar.
From the reforged primordial soup and etheric energies of the Old World rose wonders we could never have imagined – armies of ghosts, fleets of aether-powered aircraft, Greenskin brutes the size of horses, and flying sharks! The heroes, villains, warriors and monsters of Warhammer Age of Sigmar represent the best range of fantasy miniatures in the world, beloved of a passionate, global gaming community. And over the past four years, Warhammer Age of Sigmar has become by far, the most successful fantasy game ever.
And yet, the Old World whispers from ages past with its siren song. We grow misty-eyed at the memory of long-lost heroes and glorious kingdoms laid to ruin and of mighty champions whose sagas are sung no more. And of course, much of the lore of the Mortal Realms has its roots in the world that was – with some of its most venerable denizens being the very same that fought across those war-torn kingdoms (along with a small selection of choice magical artefacts.)
The Old World is to Warhammer Age of Sigmar, as the Horus Heresy is to Warhammer 40,000. The bedrock of lore from which mortals rose to godhood and legends were forged. And like the Horus Heresy, seeing those mythic heroes in action has an undeniable appeal, as does re-creating the glorious armies of a previous epoch – an exciting proposition for hobbyists and gamers alike. And now, we have a dedicated team in the Warhammer Studio beginning the work of bringing all that awesome back to the tabletop."
Time to dust off your Tomb Kings and Bretonnian Knights! We're going back!

It seems they are having trouble transitioning to 3D, some or all of the core designers and minds behind the franchise have changed, and they are running out of ideas. How many Pokemon are there in total now? A thousand or more, I think.
I think the customers would be better served with a game made with a much larger budget, even if it takes longer and is a bit more expensive, and one that actually continues to develop concepts and features of older games. Gen III dropped day/night cycles, but Gen IV was clear improvement in terms of features and gameplay over the generations that preceded it. I don't think modern players are unreasonable in being unhappy with GameFreak's recent games.

Yeah, and I, as a consumer, have decided that it's not worth me buying, especially on top of having to get a Switch in order to play it.
The cost is just too great for this game.

Might also be an aging thing. R/B/Y came out 21 years ago. The basic formula has changed very little, so what's keeping the adult fan in it? Obviously there's good content in them, but I haven't bought one in years, as better graphics and new Pokemon is not particularly alluring to me, when I can dig up my N64 (At least until my mother stole all my gaming equipment) and emulate the originals and G/S/C at 3x?

Ok, I'll wait till after the holidays, but I'm ready to buy this.
I'm impressed with the amount of post-release content they've put out.

I'm hearing that Death Stranding has a 2 hour long ending cutscene that plays after you beat the game. Anyone know if that's true?

Screenshots also confirms it's not just Jurassic Park content, but Lost World and JPIII too. The brachiosaur has a JPIII skin, the stego a proper Lost World model, a LW "bull-T-Rex" skin and even an aviary too.
And yeah... the game is still very basic compared to Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo, mostly because it was made quickier to come out alongside JW: Fallen Kingdom, and because Universal want to approve every pebble that gets added to it, but they've added loads of stuff, compared to what was in the game at launch.

The one actual for real problem I see in Pokemon Sword and Shield is that they removed the Global Trade Center.
Its a real bummer that i cant trade for what I want easily. I super want a Sobble and cant get it.

Oh no, the new Star Wars game appears to be genuinely good. Now I have to buy it later this week. Possibly also the Halo Collection if it's a good port. How dare the gaming industry produce quality content.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Of the three games I bought and shared recently; Pokemon, Death Stranding, and Fallen Order, I'm enjoying Fallen Order the most and by far.
Maybe I am just a plebian and Death Stranding is some high art function that's beyond me, but I am having a hard time committing time to it because I just don't find it fun. I think the style and world are very interesting, and there have been quite a few engaging moments in the game, but it's standard loop of running from point to point and just managing boxes on your back isn't interesting to me, and it's so damn repetitive. I know I'll finish it, but Death Stranding becomes a chore for most of the time I play it.
The new Pokemon is fun, but this new step into a full-3D world has shown more than ever how incompetent Gamefreak is at design. Some people call the game a rushed cashgrab due to how shallow it is, and I don't believe that's the case. I think it's genuine incompetence on their part, because comparing the new Pokemon to just about any game on the market is embarrassing. It feels more like a mobile game, except that I sometimes play it on a larger screen. But again, I still like it because I have Stockholm Syndrome for this franchise.
Fallen Order is not innovative, since it really is best described as a marriage of Sekiro with Tomb Raider or Uncharted, but at least it's a competent, and straightforward action game that doesn't get dull and constantly throws you into crazy situations within the context of the story and as a player. I've been following Respawn since their debut with Titanfall, and they still haven't disappointed me yet. This time they actually were given a significant budget to make a real AAA Star Wars game, and I honestly think they delivered. This is the first time in almost ten years that I loved a new Star Wars game right out of the gate.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Brief bit of Pokemon commentary. the Galar Farfetch'd and its evolution Sirfetch'd might actually be broken.
Aside from just having much better stats and typing, Galar Farfetch'd has a move-pool almost completely consisting of moves with a high critical hit ratio. It also has an item unique to it that boost its critical hit ration by a huge amount. Both of those combined essentially give it a near 100% chance to critical hit.
This essentially means a move that does 75 damage will always do 150 damage. For reference Hyper Beam and Solar Beam, two moves that take 2 full turns to use, only do 120 damage.
That duck is one mean motherfucker.

Well I have just beaten the game and the credits gets shown twice during the ending of the game, but there are gameplay (or you can move the character around and there is one very short chapter to complete) in those around 2 hours of the ending, so it's not really just a cutscene like what MGS4 did back in the day.
But it's pretty close to it.
