Took me 5 or 6 levels to get into the proper rhythm of combat, but now I'm starting to kick ass consistently. Swap, shoot, swap, shoot, chain-hook into point blank shotty, remembering to use the grenade and flamethrower, chainsaw, swap, shoot, swap, shoot. Poetic violence, when it goes well. Though not using the chaingun much at all, hitting '7' is awkward, and the quickscoped rifle seems a better use of ammo most of the time. Super shotty is pretty much vital to combat, getting a massive burst of damage, a dodge, plus armor, plus a blood punch, is so damn useful.
Got to the second boss, and while thematically it's kinda cool, the mechanics of not ripping and tearing, but waiting and dodging everything until he lets me hit him, was an odd momentum shift. P
Pinkies are, oddly enough, the toughest regular demon I fight. Seem to spin on a dime, so I end up freezing them for the one tap from behind.
