Hasbro's doing a Marvel Legends/Star Wars Black series style of action figures line, for Transformers, called Transformers R.E.D., non-transformable but as animation-accurate as a figure in that price range can be.





First two will be GeeWun Optimus and Megatron, because of course, but the listing for the whole first wave has been leaked, and apparently there'll be Beast Wars and TF:Prime figures too coming out soon, namely Cheetor and Arcee in this first round.



Can't say I give much of a damn about having more G1 merch, but PrimeArcee only ever got like 3 figures, and all 3 had ridiculously big back-kibble due to the transformation. Might dip in that... would not mind some IDW-bots either, going forward.

Diablo 4 is really riding that fence. Yeah, game was always about getting a couple random people to help you out, and an entirely player driven economic/trade system. But the way they describe the new paradigm, it sounds like Guild Wars 2 with a panned out camera and grim-dark lighting.

Which admittedly is an improvement over D3, though I never hated it.

Yep, more or less what I've been saying too... trying waaaaay too hard to be MCU-like, and thinking "realistic" costume designs and uber-desaturated color palettes are going to make it good. Khamala is the prime example... her stretchy powers work fine in a more colorful/cartoony style, but in a more realistic visual style they look weird as hell. I remember even her creator saying she would NOT work well, visually, outside of the comics.

Tried my hand at a martini. Surprisingly, the vermouth took the entire edge off the gin. Extremely dry drink. And I learned that it's best not to leave the olive to the end, because it packed a considerable punch. Much nicer than gin on the rocks tho.

Given how there was a great boom of German migrants to the USA I'd wager that there is in the very least a significant number.

IIRC it was originally invented in Italy by monks and often thought to have been invented in the Netherlands, although I am probably sure it's more a "popularity" invention rather than actually being invented there.
It became popular in England after a Belgian/Dutch drink thought to be a medicine and then the government allowed it to be made unlicensed. I think it was during the Napoleonic times so obviously there were tariffs/bans on Brandy so we needed something to fill the void.

I think that some of the first colonists migrated straight from Germany. When the New World was discovered and the first settlers came, England was relatively wealthy and prosperous, plus it had mostly solved its religious issues, while (what would become) Germany still had feuds going on between catholics and protestants.

As for Ireland, they came because they had next to nothing to eat.

English (or to a degree French) settling in the US was more of a political move to occupy overseas land with nationals, but most of the migrants came because they had little hope to make a good life in Europe for a variety of reasons (in South Africa many Boers have French ancestry that dates back from the time where Protestants were outright killed on sight).

Great! Have fun. I recommend High Elves as a good starter race, with Tyrion as the legendary lord (Alarielle is also super easy and gets earlier Sisters of Avelorne, the best archer unit in the game). Oh and also the Mortal Empires campaign, though the Vortex campaign is shorter and more guided along story paths, if that is your thing.

Strong all around, very strong ranged, no bad units that come to mind, very wealthy, can fudge diplomacy, not attacked heavily, etc. Empire is entirely well rounded, but late game requires artillery and magic to carry where the line can't hold.

Oh. Also, Reckful committed suicide today. Long fight with depression, it finally won out over him. Not a great time anywhere right now.
