I'd rather see the Giga than another hybrid, that's for sure. Tho at the same time, if the plan is to just use is another big scary monster, it might as well be one. Also I guess it de-confirms the Spinosaur from making a comeback, as having 3 mega-carnivores in one film sounds rather excessive to me.

Still, I don't believe we've ever had a charcarodontosaurid to show up in any big movie so as long as they don't do anything stupid with its design, it's gonna be fun to see a Giga.

Well yeah, they also control almost half of the entertainment industry in the West (I used to make "they're kind of like the Corporation from Alien... except now they own that too!" jokes with friends), have most critics and journalists at their fingertips because of the whole "access media" thing, have a small army of layers and lobbyists playing all political sides and making sure not even their investors know exactly what the fuck thei're doing, underpay and overwork most of their employees, especially those in the parks, and despite all their claims of being "inclusive and pro-diversity" almost every position of actual power in the company is held by some old white millionaire dude, and they make sure that whatever diversity hire they have is paraded around like a prop when they promote themselves in the US and europe and quietly swiped on the background when they're whoring themselves to China and south-east Asia. So yes, I have no doubts that if they think they have a good enough reason, they're gonna hire Amber Heard and either silence all criticisms or outright help her to pass as the true victim, even.

So a lot questions come to mind, first being: How much of current events is Ahsoka aware of? Such as, for starters, the existence of Luke and Leia being Anakin's kids. (Surely she would have heard about Luke Skywalker blowing up the Death Star at the very least. Has she ever sought them out? Does she know Vader betrayed Palpatine and managed to die as his former self before the end? Etc, etc.)

Yeah, considering she can't even star in a Nintendo Switch ad without the thing getting downvoted into oblivion I think her chances to play ANY Nintendo character is low to zero. As someone who has a history of despising Ahsoka, she was surprisingly bearable here. Also, dear lord, these creators are pulling hard from the older EU, and it's working. Krayt dragon hunt right out of Knights of the Old Republic, Thrawn, Dark Troopers, HK Assassin droids, Tython. The only thing they could revive and top all of this, to me, is if Kyle Katarn makes an appearance.

Something feels off with that redesign IMO.

Maybe it's the thin neck section that's screwing me over?

Like, it looks more like a turret on top of the main body, which it is, but it seems so much more overt.

I am on the fence with seeing Jon Barrowman back now as it feels like a grab of "Look we can totally get the good thing back guys!!!" and it's just not right to me.
Mind you after the whole Timeless Child bullshit I do wonder how it's going to go now when basically The Doctor is no longer special due to her choices but because of her genetics.
Which is giving me BIG Rise of Skywalker vibes and I don't like it.

That's exactly why I did the comparison with Lando in RoS. Feels like a very cynical attempt at throwing a bone to old Who fans (not that there aren't many new ones, considering the ratings the show currently has) in the hope to get a few more eyeballs on the special. Or like in comics, when they have one of the replacement heroes team up with some old fan-favorite character just to try to validate them in the eyes of the reader. It's really bittersweet, because before Timeless Child, a return of Captain Jack was one of my most wanted things to see happen, and now I can't be bothered to care, because the Doctor's not really the Doctor anymore.

And I get what you mean for the Dalek, I like the color combination a lot, but the tubes in the neck area should be black and not part of the icey blue effect, so the head segment would feel more connected to the body. Tho that's a very heavily photoshopped promo pic. The actual thing probably looks move cohesive.
