No food after 8 in general is a good idea. I already have a hiatal hernia, and it's rough, but most of us will develop one in our late middle ages regardless.

Good job on the cardio! It's so hard to get into that groove, having a dog that loves to stretch her paws must help a ton. The running itself burns very few calories, but the knock-on effects are where you flourish. Keep it up!

Thanks! I think the part where the heart is pumping harder than normal for a few minutes is the goal I'm aiming for. Don't really feel skinny, I'm a medium frame, my waist is 39 inches if I don't suck in my gut, even though I wear 32 pants. Most of the research I've found suggests I'm at the lower part of overweight. I'm just aiming for that 'normal' weight to see what life is like.

So, after a few months of being out the Army I can honestly say I'm actually happy for the first time in a long time. Also haven't shaved or gotten a haircut. Growing that out.

Processing 8 goddamn years of trauma is still ongoing, but having my Jeep back online and my new set of wheels to commute helps. Life could be better but goddamn I know it could be worse.

Also building a new gaming PC, just gotta wait on one last thing before I fire it up and see if I screwed up.

Yeah, elevated heart rate is the real goal of cardio. Otherwise you're just toning your legs a bit. Shorter guy, eh? I've been to 160, up to 220, and it all feels the same, "burdensome." So once you hit those lower numbers, let me know if it's like being a kid again, and you can fling yourself around, fall without worry, and do backflips!

Hey, whatever it takes to keep you sane. I don't know what the fuck happens to our vets, but far too many end up broken, or dead, before their time. How'd you manage to get a GPU though?

Honestly it's because a lot of us get disillusioned with the military and society in general. Then the ones like me that swing more liberal get shunned by the other side because we ain't true Muricans or some shit.

Whatever. Didn't see them at MEPS.

And I got my 3070 RTX via fuckin' magic...Job pays me well enough, I saved up enough to buy it outright without waiting for a sale.
