Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
So an already (relatively) small and weakened population sent a fraction big enough to colonize of people on a trip to another galaxy.
Hmmm... not sure. On one hand, I'm happy to see I was wrong about no quarians, like I've always said I would.
On the other hand, it feels like the usual BW shtick, where they try to please everyone by not fully committing to one idea, instead of going strong into one direction. Either have the quarians play a major role because of their deep space exploration expertise, or not have them because the Andromeda Initiative is mostly a Council Races project. Sticking a few quarians in the background on the Nexus feels more like a "there... now you can't complain anymore!" thing.
And I really really doubt we're ever gonna get another quarian major character, male or female, because then thei're gonna go through the whole "what does he/she looks like under the suit" thing all over again, and they wouldn't be able to get away with the another half-assed reveal.
Still more quarian stuff that I expected though, since I though there was gonna be none at all, though. So ehh... okay.

Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
The quarians going to Andromeda makes more sense than for most races, though. At this point, some of them have got to be fed up with the Migrant Fleet, and especially the Admiralty Board with their warmongering. They've got the Liveships, which the Arks are probably based off of (They do seem to incorporate a bit of the design into their core), and who better to take with you to Andromeda than the people that are used to living spaceborne?
Hell, the Admiralty might of encouraged it, since they were gearing up for war with the geth. As a contingency in case things went bad.

It DOES make more sense than "every quarian ever just went back to the Flottilla to fight the Geth". That much I definately agree on.

Seriously though, wow. Guess there was a small group of quarians that went for the intergalactic trip.

Don't they know "The created will always rebel against their creator" and "synthetics will destroy all organics" if they don't have Shepard's essence pumping through their proverbial veins giving them understanding? YOU FOOLS YOU'VE DOOMED US ALL.

Yeah, they can't let that thread just go, unless they intend to go with the fact (which is the only fucking thing that makes sense) that the Catalyst was just fucking insane.

But why should we question the logic of an AI that made a race of genocydal machines to prevent organics to be driven into extinction by machines?! It makes so much sense!!!

Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
There are quarians that simply don't care about what the Migrant Fleet does since they simply want to travel through space. Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if some of them think that the chance of discovering a new world for their people in another galaxy (since the Citadel Council consistently hinders their attempts to colonize something in the Milky Way) is enticing enough for them to want to go with on that expedition.
It really shouldn't be that difficult to make the space nomads wanting to join the nomadic journey look believable.

Quarians that went on this mission will probably live as citizens of whatever turian government thats set up.
You really dont need that many people to set up a stable population, provided you have enough time, the right ratio, and accept that people are going to have to fuck like rabbits with multiple partners...
...Gee i wonder why so many male quarians showed up?

Player: Most in-game evidence and the themes of the story are pointing to the conclusion that despite our differences we can coexist peacefully without destroying each other, synthetic rebellions are not inevitable--
ME3's last ten minuets: SYNTHETICS ARE ALL BAD AND WILL BETRAY YOU AND YOU CAN'T QUESTION IT OR BRING UP EDI OR THE GETH NOW ALTER THE GALAXY FOREVER RIGHT NOW PREFERABLY BY MERGING EVERYONE TOGETHER.
Player: …wah?
Which is it, Bioware? Do we dismiss the Starbrat because it was insane/programed incompetently? (Which like you said is the only option that makes any fucking sense) Or are we to take the word of it, the Leviathans, and Javik that long-term coexistence is impossible due to synthetic rebellion without some form of synthesis to force "understanding"? Because that's something that could use a definitive answer. Can we trust A.I.s in this setting or not? That changes how a player views and interacts with synthetic characters, even without Shepard's choice affecting them, even in another galaxy.
And speaking of another galaxy, the Andromeda Initiative knows there are resource rich worlds there because of their deep space probes locating them. That's some pretty handy technology, being able to provide detailed scans of planets in another galaxy 6 centuries away by FTL ark travel. How unfortunate none of them detected a sleeping Reaper on the way. (Unless of course the plot twist is they did, and the Initiative really ventured to another galaxy primarily to avoid extinction from what they believed was an unbeatable foe.)
Probes like that sure would have been useful trying to detect/locate the hibernating Reaper fleet and convincing everyone they were real. Right after the events of ME1, when politicians and news media and public opinion would be at their most likely to listen to Shepard's story, being able to actually prove with incontrovertible evidence that there was a sinister armada of giant ancient death machines physically floating just beyond the milky way (It only took the Reapers 6 months to enter the milky way without the Citadel shortcut) would have saved countless hours of effort to prove the threat was real and that folks needed to begin preparing.

I AM glad to see the old N7 armor in the game, though I would kill for the ME1 N7 armor to be in, too.

Me too, but I'd probably end up not using it. I'm cool with Ryder looking like Ryder and not like Shepard. I didn't used the crossover or cosplay armors in the old games either.
(I DID use the N7 themed suit for Isaac in Dead Space 3 though, ehe)
Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
Whether you can romance multiple people comes down to the character; some will be okay with you dating others, while certain personalities will feel betrayed. "There are at least a couple that don't seem to care,"
What the hell.

I actually think thats not a terrible idea. I mean...
Some people really are just looking for sex.
Hell, i had a friend that was in a relationship involving 3 consulting people. She was hoping the next Bioware game would allow that.
Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
I guess it might come down to wording, I didn't really determine him saying romancing multiple people as one being a sex friend and one being serious, I interpreted as multiple romantic relationships which is why I wasn't a fan.

Frankly id be fine with that.
Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
Yea I don't really see the issue with polyamory being available in the game with the right partners. The fact that we're still freaking out by the idea of mormons marrying multiple wives yet 100% on board with homosexual relationships always struck me as odd. If you're good with one you should be good with them all.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure some states have laws against polygamy.
well you don't really need to get married to be with multiple people, so there are ways around the taxes and such.
Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
You can de facto have a polygamous marriage, set up an LLC, give each partner an equal share, sign the associated legal documents granting rights, you're basically married. But the idea of the federal government allowing or forbidding people from entering into committed relationships bothers me to begin with.
As to Mass Effect. Eh. I'd be cool with some open relationships. Not all of them though, one or two at most depending on how many options there are, since not all characters should have the exact same mindset. But if so, I'd absolutely want it made clear the PC is the one driving it, or an explicit note that the potential LI is not going to be monogamous even if you pursue.
Though I'm reminded of Jade Empire, where there was a specific path you could take to a true polygamous relationship with 2 LI's. Every other path you had to choose one or the other. And I liked that there were options both ways. Some characters simply do not want to share, and so they shouldn't. Others might not care, and so that should be reflected in behavior.
With that said, in the end, I'd prefer "well-written, believable" over pandering to any specific group, and acknowledgment that, hey, not everyone accepts every configuration. Being challenged for romance options in-game would be great!

Either buy the trilogy for a Playstation or get the backward compatible version off of EA Access on XBOX One.
Re: Bioware General (Mass Effect/Dragon Age/Other)
Or use the old discs with backward compatibility on XB1, I've been playing ME3 that way.

I love how those statues are like, stupid anime Liara, stupid anime FemShep, a 1-to-1 perfect exactly like the game Tali.
And shes STILL the hottest.
I actually dont.
I never saw the need for one when i have the PS4. Though Microsoft seems to be wising up, I may get one at some point.

I have both and it's so worth doing, you get twice the amount of sales and free games, Microsoft backwards compatibility is on a roll at the moment too.
I have that Tali statue (the one with the Reegar) and I love it.

What the hell.
Right, so this means that PeeBee is going to be the most open minded (or should I say slutty one in this), human squadmates are going to be bi and at least one of them won't care multiple option. Also, Drack won't be romance option,
As for Vetra, this is difficult one as her case could go both ways. Either her being Turian and our character human, she might not mind, if Ryder would be with another human too. It's even something that can be considered practical option, which Turian's does understand. However, it's also possible that it's completely opposite and once this Female Turian opens up to you, it's huge betrayal for her, even if you even think of anyone else.
Of course, that whole comments is quite, well open ended. It doesn't tell, if you can really romance more than one character at the same time, just have casual sex (like sex with Jack in ME2, yet romancing someone else) or just some off-screen random dating.
Still, it will be interesting to see what will happen.

Garrus came out on top.
Morinth is better than Zaeed? DA FUCK?
Killing Tali? YOU PLAYED THE GAME WRONG, SON.
"Look, I'm very sorry everybody, but 13th place is a travesty. I voted Ashley for 3rd place, behind Garrus and Mordin."
Really? I mean, art is subjective, to each is his own, yada yada yada, but really? Third place?
"But thanks to Mass Effect's binary good/bad morality system, I didn't have quite the paragon or renegade points to resolve the final showdown between Tali and Legion peacefully. One of them had to die, and it would mean the eradication of a species. There's no perfectly happy ending here. And there really shouldn't be."
Tell me more, o wise one! TRULY, YOUR WISDOM IS INFINITE.
"Let's be honest. He's up here because he's a hot killer insect boy."
Are you sure you're talking about Thane and not Javik or a Collector? You might need some contacts or glasses.
"He wasn't cut out to be Batman: he was born to be Robin. But that's a sad thing to recognise, and—laudably—it's not something that Shepard is allowed to fully resolve. There's no paragon-interrupting your way out of it. It's simply a thorn in your friendship, a blemish that makes their relationship all the more believable."
That implies Garrus actively resents Shepard to some degree, and that I see no evidence of in any of the games. He doesn't harbor resentment towards Shepard about being "second best". Maybe about himself, but not towards Shepard. During all their conversations together, I never got the impression Garrus has this semi-secret bitterness towards Shepard that minutely sours their otherwise excellent friendship that they're both aware of but never talk about.
