So first Clark gets Space Cancer radiation poisoning that's slowly killing him, then he gets drained by the Warworld's giant red sun forges weakening him even further, and then Mongul impales him with a kryptonite spear while his back is turned and distracted. I got all caught up on YJ after I came out of my turkey-induced slumber from Thanksgiving and I've had time to think on it. Disappointment is an understatement for this season as far as I'm concerned. Just really weak and lazy and ham-fisted storytelling all around. This show is capable of being so much better.
And as a huge Cass and Lady Shiva fan... I really, really, REALLY don't like what they've done with them here. I'm all for changing some things up when adapting elements from the comics, but I think they went in the way wrong direction. We finally get something that delves into these two in their family dynamic in animated form after all these years and we get this. Freaking monkey's paw, I swear.

Honestly, I dropped after two minutes in the first episode of the Zatanna arc.

During the Artemis arc, the show was guilty of suddenly introducing characters non-comic readers were not necessarily familiar with, and who had not been prominently featured earlier, with next to no clue as to who they were. Spoiler and Orphan, to name them. It was really annoying because I want to care about them, but I need to be given something, you know?

And here it was exactly the same with three nobodies instead. They're just...here. So I'll wait until the season is over, maybe it'll improve then.

So I finally got around to watching Arcane. It was very good. Totally understand the hype this show has garnered around the interwebs now. Highly recommended. And I say that as someone who knows jack shit about League of Legends.

If they team up with Boom!, then the likes of Power Rangers, Adventure Time, Ben 10, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer become options. If they partner up with Legendary, then a Godzilla x Pacific Rim crossover seems most likely. I don't see Disney wanting Godzilla to crossover with Marvel or Star Wars, nor do I see DC in the cards.

I'm gonna cross my fingers and hope it's either Godzilla vs MMPR, or some au story where the titans from the Monsterverse exist in the same world as the kaiju and yeagers from Pacific Rim. I'd buy that for a dollar! lol

Godzilla vs. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is written by Godzilla: Cataclysm's Cullen Bunn, with art by Freddie E. Williams II (whose previous crossover work includes Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and He-Man/Thundercats) and colors by Andrew Dalhouse. Here's the official plot summary:

When Rita Repulsa uses an ancient artifact to transport herself to a universe without Power Rangers, she finds herself in a world with aliens, kaiju, and… Godzilla! Hoping to annihilate this new foe, Rita hurls her own terrible creatures into battle. But she never expects that the Rangers have followed her to this alternate reality, pitting the Dinozords themselves head-to-head with the King of the Monsters!

Based on the cover art, the series looks to take place fairly early in the Power Rangers timeline, when Tommy is still serving as the Green Ranger. The variant cover below suggests Godzilla's throw-down with the Dragonzord will be one of the pivotal matchups in the series. Though if we've learned anything about crossovers over the years, eventually the Rangers and Godzilla will put aside their differences to confront a common, pointy hat-wearing foe.

“I am honored to bring two iconic franchises like Godzilla and the Power Rangers together. I've been a massive Godzilla fan since before I could read, and my love for the King of Monsters has never faded in all those years. Likewise, I've always loved Tokusatsu superheroics, and vividly remember watching the first episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers when it came out. This is a crossover that I suspect will take readers by surprise—but it makes complete sense!” said Bunn in a press release. “Writing for these characters is a dream come true for this giant monster-loving kid-at-heart, and when readers pick up this book, I want them to feel that sense of awe and wonder that these characters have inspired for decades!”

“This will be the biggest, most stratospheric crossover I’ve ever drawn!” said Williams. “It’s the combination of so many big genres: Giant Monsters vs. Mechs, martial arts vs. science and magic, with lots of collateral destruction!
