Unironically... as much as I don't like Shin Godzilla, a nighmare fuel version of Hedorah would have been a perfect choice if they wanted to give it another monster to fight in an hypothetic sequel.

Last couple comic-y thing I've read in 2021...

First, got me my second manga omnibus thing... this time I went for Alita: Battle Angel.

Yeah... pretty good read! It's basically Ghost in the Shell and Mad Max thrown in a blender, if you couldn't tell by watching the movie already. Speaking of, having now read the source material I can definately confirm the Alita movie really is one of the better anime/manga adaptations but even so they definately took a few liberty with the story and some of the side characters, but I won't go into spoilers. Not much to say, just a very fun read, with also soem heartfelt moments. Wierd it never got a full anime adaptation, since you can probably fit the whole story in one pretty well.

The other one was The Incal, that was gifted to my for Xmas by my best friend. I... didn't like it as much, and I'm really sad about it. I keep trying to get into "french sci-fi" comics, but they always feel so... random. Like, yes, thei're incredibly gorgeously drawn, and you'll never ear me talking bad of them in that sense, but you can really tell they were mostly written by people while tripping balls and making shit up as they went. They feel like anything can happen but also like nothing really matter. Like at one poin in the Incal one of the main characters get vaporized. Two pages later they "collect" his molecule back togheter, and reconstruct him with some tech that hasn't been enstablished or even mentioned before, and they carry on like nothing happened. I keep feeling like I'm missing out on something with this kind of stories, but for the love of God, I can't tell what it's supposed to be.

Mjolnir is alive, fully sentient, and was containing the "God Tempest", and it seems like when you mix all that together she's become a god unto herself, and can manifest an avatar to wield the physical hammer. Though it seems like she's murdered some people in cold blood since becoming a god, and it looks like she's prophesied to kill Thor, so how she's worthy to wield herself after that... I dunno. The rules for what being worthy means are fickle as hell. Or if the rules applying to the hammer herself is a loophole or not. I got nothing. :lol:
