There are certain musicians I know I like a lot and I feel like I've heard everything they ever made, but I nonetheless consistently stumble upon new, great songs of theirs I missed for some reason. Hank Williams & Buddy Holly are the ones this seems to happen with the most. But it also happens with Jim Croce.

Anyway, somehow this fun song passed me by. I'm gonna have to borrow the phrase "steadily depressing, low-down, mind melting working at the car wash blues" in RL.

I'm half surprised that song isn't about a local tough guy who gets his comeuppance. I had the same experience with Queen, where I knew only their most popular music, until I saw a video on Freddie Mercury's vocal range, and dipped my toes into their greater catalog.
