Went with Rogue storming Arosaka tower ending and Johnny going off into cyberspace. I'll reload tomorrow and see what the Aldecados ending looks like. That's sort of the one I wanted to take but 1) it seems selfish and pointless to ask them to potentially throw their lives away for this, 2) I kinda find it hard to believe a band of Mad Max rednecks could take out Arosaka tower anyway, 3) Johnny is for once correct and V can barely sit up at that point and will most likely just collapse in a heap on the front stairs if he's not driving.

I know the secret storm the tower on your own ending exists, but I think my build would have just made that miserable given I've heard people talk about how bullshit it was even for beefy builds.

Really have to resist just starting right over. Nothing new to add I didn't already say. A+ on story and characters. I did think the ending was sort of anticlimatic gameplay wise.

Smasher was kind of a pushover, but I tend to think final bosses mostly stink anyway and half the time feel like something the devs put in out of obligation rather than really thinking about it. So if he had to exist at least he didn't really slow me down from the story.

It's definitely more interesting of a gameplay scenario than the Rogue ending which is very fast and kinda boring. It's also just a better flavor and really fit my character, who was a nomad, better anyway. That being said, I was correct it was a relative bloodbath compared to the Rogue ending and from a "not being a jackass" point of view, the Rogue ending is the better option.

While the Aldecados lead up is better, I like the sequence of events in Mikoshi better on the Rogue ending. Getting to talk to V as Johnny and see V's reaction as Johnny keeps his promise to let her have the body back was just nice and full circle.

I also found it weird that on the Aldecados ending everybody just kind of ignores the fact that V is dying and acts like it's going to be rainbows and puppies from now on, whereas on the Rogue ending it's clear that the end is near.

It's too bad there's no way to not screw over Takemura who I liked quite a bit (would have totally preferred him to be LI for straight female rather than River who was inoffensive but not particularly interesting), but just *fuck* Arosaka. I'll probably do an Arosaka run at some point for sheer curiosity but that will never be an ending I seriously take.

When I play a dude, I'll probably try for storm the gates solo + let Johnny have the body and skip off into cyberspace ending.

Yeah, the Aldecaldo thing seemed like it needed a few more plot beats between inducting V and being ride or die. Saving 1 member at the cost of many makes sense in a defensive sense, one for all, all for one, don't fuck with us. But not in the case of an open assault on Arasoka. That and the conceit of needing V to be cinematically dying, but also super-powered 1 man army, was silly. Making the impetus to action also make you progressively weak and dead, until you're a corpse puppeted by a chip, is silly. "You got tuberculosis, now go become a world champion sprinter in order to find a cure."

Didn't think it was possible to clear the map and not be overpowered. I was blowing guys apart with Johnny's gun, easily, my sniper build was wasted, because I never needed to snipe when quick hacks and a pistol were already too good. Smasher would've gone down in seconds but for the scripted breaks (Shades of Kai Leng). Though getting to personally finish him off was gratifying after all that buildup, should've been a much harder fight. The guy is pure machine, but less physically threatening than those corpo shock troops that attack V when he's in the car after getting picked out of the dump.

That said, Aldecaldo ending, romanced Panam, felt the most hopeful for V to me. Regardless of what happens, he's gotten out of that hellhole city, left that life behind, and spends what he has left in the open and free, back to being a nomad. And I like to think that in having Panam, and the clan, to anchor him in the world still would give him the best shot of surviving a little longer. As opposed to Rogue's, where his earthly goal is achieved, being a legend, and all that compels him is doing more of the same.

It sucked having to screw over Takemura. Though I was pleasantly surprised he could be saved, missed it on the first try, because the cutscene bugged out on me so I thought it _showed_ him as very dead based on the conversation right after. Reloaded and did it right soon as I found out.

The ending for them was the worst by far. Both in gameplay experience, and in what happens. Miserable, miserable.

WHAT IS CYBERZOIC? It's finally time for us to take our first glimpse at this new world!
'In the distant future, the remnants of humanity are in a struggle to earn their right to survive on a new planet, protected by the formidable 'Dragons'. With limited defenses, Earth's mightiest beasts are resurrected through science and technology, giving the humans more than a fighting chance against the reptilian natives. But after splitting into several opposing clans, humanity's biggest threat may still be themselves.'
It's been nearly a year since I began working on Cyberzoic with talented concept artist Ross Persichetti, who did the awesome concept art that you see here. These two images depict the main clan of the story called the Technologists, one of the five human clans, each having a unique look.
Here are some key facts about the line:
- The dinosaurs will have cyber-enhanced armor (hence the name of the era) but there are no cyborg dinosaurs or cyborg dragons
- the dinosaurs are just as scientifically accurate as they are in Beasts of the Mesozoic, and the same figure molds will be used allowing for extra compatibility with BotM.
- this is a sci-fi story, but is still grounded in our own reality, albeit in the future. Thus BotM could be seen as a 'prequel' to this story.
-there will be plenty of humans and a few robot characters, many of which are planned for the 3 3/4" figure treatment.
-Each Cyberzoic dinosaur release will have a BotM counterpart color, thus a 'female' (CZ) and 'male' (BotM) version of each species. However many BotM releases will still be exclusive to that line.
- A mini comic with the on-going story is planned to come with each figure.
- Two preview figures will be first- Utahraptor and Achillobater. The remainder will be supported via crowdfunding, though the platform is yet to be determined.
-Cyberzoic is not limited to just dinosaurs, as the story incorporates wildlife from multiple eras which could also be made as action figures later on.
-some existing BotM figures will be reintroduced into Cyberzoic with new colors, including but not limited to: Yutyrannus, Tyrannosaurus rex, Dryptosaurus, Triceratops, Styracosaurus, and Diabloceratops.
- the 'Dragons' will follow a natural history aesthetic as compared to the traditional 'fantasy' look. These figures will vary in size and will be released less frequently than the dinosaurs.
Also shown here is the initial list of the planned dinosaur species to be created for Cyberzoic. (There will be additional new species for BotM which will be announced later.) Families such as Hadrosaurs, Ankylosaurs, Spinosaurs, Sauropods, and many others are expected to be introduced later if the line is successful, but we can only commit to so many figures at once if they're to be given the proper attention. I'm sure there will be plenty more questions so feel free to ask below!

Started playing Horizon: Forbidden West. Pretty much a complete extension of the first game so far. Still really visually impressive. Aloy still her unlikable self. Facial animation still stiff. Writing still wooden. World-building still really interesting. Robot dinos still bullet sponges. Never thought the original was amazing but was still pretty decent. Looks to be the same here.

Slowly plinking away at Elden Ring. There's a magic in the first runs of Souls games you can never replicate, but I can see why people complained about being lost, since other than the wisps of light coming off the bonfires to point you, there's really no instruction or focus. You know vaguely what to do and the general direction, and you can follow the path or faff.

I was fleeing through a dark forest, it was nighttime, from a giant werebear. This was after killing one, just bearly, and having spent my healing resources on that. I found a rotunda, with an elevator in it. Discretion being the better part of valor, I took it, and it went very far into the earth, into an underground cavern with a starry sky. I have spent quite a few hours down there, and found only 1 boss, whom I cannot possibly kill at my current level, because his basic attack is a 1 shot. And that's it. There's clearly more of this area, but inaccessible from here. Found the elevator back out, which takes me into an entirely new area. Just a nice, long diversion, far as I can tell, with beautiful scenery.

I think they also tried to show that Alloy can't do everything on her own which they use Varl among others for, the execution of it is not the greatest though.

but should this gaming series ever be turned into a tv show (because a movie wouldn't have enough time to explain the first game) there is a good fundation and well some of the flaws in the writing and execution of some of the stuff the games could be remedied or at least executed better.
