New content appears almost immediately. New girl has already been introduced and I'm not even out of the (admittedly 5+ hour long) tutorial. Also some game play tweaks. Ammunition for your ranged weapon is no longer limited by visit to the Metaverse. Rather, it is limited per battle. So instead of 8 shots per mission, you have 8 shots per battle. Plus they really amped up the systems for allowing the AI to handle party member control for you. But i prefer having control over that.

And none of this is taking into account mechanics like the grappling hook, which I have only used once in the introduction. Or the fact that you can apparently do more per day.

There also seems to be some mild graphical enhancements/changes. As well as some new music.

I used some shipping names. Gruvia NaLu, from Fairy Tail. It makes it fun when halfway through the game you forget about it then someone calls you Gruvia. Heh.

Oh wow how weird. They changed one of the Doctors voice actor entirely. Its a shame too, because the new one isn't nearly as good. Apparently they completely lost touch with the old actress and would have had to delay the game for months to get her back.

The new one is certainly adequate but... It lacks the pants stirring tingle of the original one.

that it is, don't agree with price for the Royal edition it's pretty much the price of a new game and if you already have Persona 5 it's annoying for paying full price for the same game just with some new content thrown (pretty much an expansion pack from what I understand).

Italy looks like it is on the right way - but far from done, since patients that survive still have to stay in intensive care for a while, so it's not the end of the tunnel for doctors and nurses. Spain too but they should end up with more deaths than Italy, above 20.000. The UK too might end up with more deaths than Italy - might have to do with the very mild initial reaction to the situation. In France we are likely to end significantly above 10.000, and sadly I live in one area where the virus most definitely is - a cashier from a supermarket that is a 10 minutes walk from my flat died from it - and where people are not very good at respecting the lockdown, so I might be in it for even longer than others.

Meanwhile, Brazilian governors are doing their own local lockdown and ignoring the president telling the population to go back to work (even those from his political aisle). That man is a complete nutjob, if the country was less functional he looks like the type that would end in the history books alongside the Kims, Amin Dada, Pinochet, Gaddafi or Ceaucescu.

Add: Apparently, the issue with some ships "stranded at sea" is not that the authorities of a country are being heartless and want to leave all people aboard to die, but that in most cases those are ships flying under flags of convenience in order to cut their costs. But for some reason they don't go all the way and dock in Vanuatu, Barbados or the Bahamas to get medical treatment for their passengers and crew.

Well I dont doubt that some of it is just me understanding these game mechanics way better. This is my third playthrough after all.

But a few examples. Ammo is no longer limited per mission, its per battle. The gun is an incredibly powerful tool in this game. Thats why it was so limited in the first place. Now its just no stop pop pop stainless steel all the time.

Another major factor is that baton pass is instantly usable for everyone. You used to have to unlock that through confidant level building. It also has gotten a massive boost to its power.

Also they have dramatically reduced the amount of times you are forced to go to sleep. You no longer need Kawakami to get your evenings back. You can just do whatever. (Which as a side note really makes me wonder what she is even useful for anymore.)

Beyond even that, they have added new bits of dialog with confidants, allowing you to get extra bonus bond points with them. Example: After participating in one of Dr Takami's clinical trials, I got a call on my phone in which she asks if i made it home alright.

There are also new activities you can do to increase your social stats. Like now you can raise your kindness by helping Sojiro clean up the Cafe at night. That state was always notoriously annoying to raise, because there was really only one thing you could do to raise it.

Now I have still only 15 hours into a 150 hour long game, so we will see if that keeps up. But I definitely notice a difference in difficulty. I also notice a difference in quality, because while I am having an easier time, there are a lot pf quality of life changes that make playing the game a lot more enjoyable.

Supposedly Mementos is actually fun now.

My usual black jeans are in the wash, so I found a pair of 32x36 jeans in my closet that I have no memory of having purchased, for the deli run for staples. Very comfy, bit tight, but the biggest concern was that they made my lower body look more girlish than the average white woman. A concerning observation.
