I've heard that the PC version is buggy as hell, but the fact that you can choose to play as an undead and be forced to dress yourself in full clothing and/or armor in order to not scare everyone away, be afraid of healing spells and use your own fingers as lockpicks is very enticing to me. I can't even think of an RPG (I can certainly think of a game that lets you play as an undead, like the Red Dead Redemption DLC or Stubbs the Zombie) that gives you that kind of option.

But they would make for a decent counter to the Genestealer Cult, since they're both hiveworld-based...

With all the recent talk happening at GW-- such as this for example --I'd be surprised if they don't tackle the Sisters of Battle sometime in 2018 and flesh them out into a full army. GW is slow, but I think it is coming.

There's tons of alien species listed in the lore that could make for interesting new factions, especially in the wake of the Great Rift shattering the status quo. It'd be a real waste if they don't capitalize on that. Give some fresh blood and new faces to the setting.

Speaking of rumors… word on the street is that the next daemon primarch to come forth is Angron. In the wake of the Great Rift, Tzeentch and Nurgle have made great gains, and their daemon primarch champions have achieved many victories and accomplishments. Slannesh and his/hers/its forces are holding back for now because they're anticipating an attack from the Eldar's new Death God Ynnead and its mortal followers. And now its Khorne's turn. Angron's recent summoning at the beginning of the new edition was prevented, but now a new summoning might be coming to pass, and the angriest daemon primarch might walk the materium once again.

As far as bugs go at least for me it was just one side quest that was kind of important that never triggered and some journal entries failing to update but that's about it. Everything else worked flawlessly. And it already patched those bugs too and a new patch is to come to fix even more things. As far as things you can do in game go it is pretty much crazy how many things you can do to fuck around in game. You can use god damned paintings to smash people with and other ridiculous cheese its god damn hilarious.

Took me 150 hours to finish the game on singleplayer tactician. About a month due to me being not as free as I once used to be. Damn fine experience though. Can recommend. Story is good and so is the gameplay. If you played the original you will notice that some things changed but it didn't take long to get used to it. Biggest change is combat was the addition of armor layers you need to break before you can CC enemies to death.

Payday is on Wednesday, so I'll probably pick up the game then. I'll save the Switch for Christmas and when the snow is coming. Don't have a good place for it, anyway.

It was meant to be a couple of drinks between friends and it ended up with resentment from the guy after he had driven her to another town. The girl's boyfriend broke up not much later too.

She dropped the forum name of NeoGAF's owner on Facebook and everyone went ape-shit.

I personally never cared enough about NeoGAF to visit it, but I've heard that it was a circle-jerk cesspool that cracked down hard on people with opinions that were different from the mob's general opinion. If that's the case, then fuck 'em.

Now I'm hearing that later on that girl and him had actual sex, and there might've been some polyamory deal going on, but it's still too soon. No idea how this plays out, because it's hard to _kill_ a major forum, even if the owner is a monster. And I'm not entirely sure this guy is, depending on the specifics of consent here.

Yeah, it was once a good forum that had plenty of industry folk posting, but much like BSN, that ended when the userbase got unruly, and then apparently the positions of power were taken over by people with an agenda, and then one thing led to another.

I enjoy it a lot more than most CRPG's. There is a fair amount of pen and paper tabletop RPG freedom you get in this game, and quite a lot of quests can be solved in potentially very creative ways. Apparently, the final boss was killed in a single turn because the player loaded a crate filled with their entire party's inventory and the sheer weight of it being dropped on the villain's head was enough to kill him. One of my shortest encounters was solved by teleporting the aggressor into a pool of lava where she immediately burned to death. You get to do things like that, and I find that charming.

Also, the lizards are master race.

That's the thing, though. It wouldn't be his first offense in that category. He's fully and openly admitted that he once grabbed a woman's ass as hard as he could because when in Rome. No sign of consent there either. The woman couldn't even speak English.

Was NeoGAF filled with lazy mods that barely did their job and thought the best solution to end something was to shut everything down and ban everyone involved too?

Alright, now that I'm done with Shadow of War for the foreseeable future (93 hours until I finished, that's what I call value for the euro), I guess it will be Total War: Warhammer II with the Mortal Empires campaign from Friday on out. Really looking forward to playing the high elves without the maelstrom stuff, given that they got one of the few balanced armies (i.e. no "no archers" or "no cavalry" BS, like other races have to deal with).

Ah, you know it's going to be a long, beautiful day when you're running the air conditioning in your car at 5:30 in the morning because it's 92 degrees outside. Yeah SoCal fall weather.

I have no idea which race I'm starting with. I want muh Tomb Kings, but that's a few months off probably. Might do Vamps, since I never did a proper Power Couple playthrough.

Also Skaven are ridiculous on the battle map, autoresolve is straight up useless for them most of the time. With my LL, I can spawn, assuming a long enough battle, 18 units of infantry by the end. So nearly double what a full stack comes in with. Sure they degrade, but the amount of time the enemy has to spend to chew through them, and then my non-disposable army, is rather long.

Stormy here today. Some high winds and decent rains. But it wasn't hot, low 70's, though humid. Now we're going into a cold front, yeaaaaah.

I do admit I miss how in the 4 months I spent in California, it was basically mild to pleasant every day in the middle of winter.

Winter, yeah. Just got to wait for October to end til the mild cool starts to come and the leaves turn straight to brown. Then there'll be some strong cold winds in early December, usually the weekend I decide to put up Xmas lights. Then it's a good 1-2 month wait until the rain comes. (Notice that I used the singular for rain). Maybe be in the low 50s until January, then 40's possibly one or two days it'll dip to 30's, and that's always at 5 in the morning. Never during the day. I was in Irvine, about an hour south of LA, I think, from January to April. It did get chilly some days, but by and large, as I remember, I didn't need more than a longsleeve or a light jacket most days. In SC, even in the pit of winter, it really didn't get below freezing, except at night. Last December I was down there for tooth removal surgery, and it was warm and balmy. I was washing a car in shorts, it was nice. That place is hell the rest of the year tho.

I'm only 3 hours from Irvine. Next time you find yourself there, I'll take you to Sam Woo, possibly one of the best Chinese restaurants in the world. Unless you find yourself in the LA area, which not only is closer to me, but also has a small Sam Woo.

5000 year old toy car found in Turkey.

Now I'm disappointed, because from the headline I was expecting a news story featuring time travel or crazy high-tech Atlantis shenanigans in order to feature toy cars 5000 years ago. :D

By the by, didn't someone find evidence of an ancient civilization in Turkey that was much older than anything that's been found in Africa or the Middle East, or am I remembering that wrong?

I don't envy you in that regard. I like having "proper" Fall and Winter weather to cap off the end of the year.

I've been enjoying some nice Autumn weather for the past 2 weeks and its been lovely.

If I head west anytime soon, it'd be to Vegas, as it seems to be the best ratio of geographic proximity to multiple people I want to hang out with against a venue of interesting places at a reasonable price, and without dealing with excessive levels of traffic.

If this year hadn't been so financially draining, I'd have booked a ticket already for December! Though the last 2 weeks have been rather busy, so if I can make a whole lot of money real fast, maybe there's time.

Though I would like to get back to Irvine, and see LA.

Sounds like weather around me.

Well, I like the High Elves since they got the closest thing towards a balanced army and their diplomacy buffs are very much working into my playstyle of "divide and conquer". The whole "every race has some sort of specialized tactic" has rather played against me enjoying the Warhammer Total War games, since I like to build a well balanced force with archers, sword-wielding infantry, spear-wielding infantry and cavalry.

The other thing I've been missing is having a humongously large army at the end of the campaign. I did two playthroughs of the first game and at the end could affort something like 8 full stacks. Then I just re-read AAR's I wrote for some of my Rome 2 and Attila playthroughs from three to four years ago and there I'm talking about crazy late-game shit where I got 8 stacks of elite troops conquering Italia with the Eastern Roman Empire, while I'm amassing 10 more full stacks on the Sassanid border and am building 2 more full stacks to shore up that upcoming invasion. I barely remember those things, but it sounds epic as hell and I hope Mortal Empires can satisfy that itch in its late-game. :)

Just read an article titled "Man's map to wife's body" which I just found out is a statement that can have multiple meanings.
